An end to attorney suicide.

We are dedicated to advancing research, education, and awareness regarding the causes and prevention of attorney suicide.

What NAPAS does.

The legal profession has rates of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation that exceed the general public. NAPAS seeks to advance research of attorney mental health challenges, to distribute evidence-based education to bar associations and law schools, and to coordinate national suicide prevention efforts to have a measurable impact on attorney suicide rates and suicidal ideation.

From the president

Attorney suicide is a public health problem, not a private failure. The first step is naming it.

— Terry Bentley Hill, President, NAPAS
